I'm planning a few days away on the bike at the end of this month and looking to stay in the Tomintoul/Grantown-On-Spey area. Has anyone any suggestions for a good (preferably small) hotel or pub with rooms anywhere around that area or even a bit further north?
i've been a couple of times when the motorbike festival is on in Tomintoul and we stayed at the Smugglers Hostel basic but cheap! http://www.thesmugglershostel.co.uk/ , my friend used to own the Glenavon hotel and it's still popular, https://www.glenavon-hotel.co.uk/ Theres a few others in the town that seem ok, google will tell you there names
Thanks Dougie, the Glenavon looks ideal. The hostel looks good too but it's nice to have the bar close at hand after a day out on the bike
