You could extemporise with a bit of 2.5mm twin and earth til you get a pukka one made up Most local auto factors can crimp a cable with the right tool if you know the length and terminals you want fitted.
Think we are talking different crimps here Mr O. Most DIY or auto use this type of tool I use this in my line of work. Try soldering those afterwards, and you will need a blowtorch to heat it up!
They look like some heavy buggers but suppose so long as I can fit it on there theres no such thing as too well earthed! I'll take the longest one off your hands and see if it'll do the job. Will drop you a pm to sort postage etc. Not entirely sure what you mean by 2.5mm twin (also had to google extemporise)
https://www.qvsdirect.com/2-5mm-24a-twin-earth-cable-100m-drum You can normally buy it by the metre at most electrical outlets
Ah, get what you mean by standard 2.5mm flex now. Don't generally mess with mains, stick to battery powered stuff unlikely to kill me, so was unsure.
Its got two insulated cores (blue/brown) and an un-insulated copper core used for earth bonding. Just strip the insulated cores out from the white outer, and use for you inter connects. Plenty of current carrying capacity for your needs!
Well @Dozers Dad , the bugger is 17-18" long, looks like I'll be sorting something else. Cheers for the offer though.
Got cable and lugs cheap on eBay and I'll bodge a die to crimp them in a vice at work. Auto factor would be ideal but not got time to go find one, can't wangle a day off at the moment so bodging it one evening will have to do.
Could do but I am wanting to salvage the secondary lead and connector that goes from the battery lug to the rest of the loom. If I buy a standard cable like that I'd need two lugs onto the negative terminal and is rather avoid that.
Beat me to it DD, the mere thought of a scot suggesting to another, to part with some money........ ye gods!
