I think issues started yesterday. I put some pictures on a post yesterday then not long after all the jpegs were invisible, the @David Cooper couldn't post a Babes and Bikes image this morning. I did copy @Havit in a post but not heard anything about a solution yet.

Didn’t realise it was a site wide issue.

@Dawsy, perhaps all those babes and bikes images are overloading the system?? ;):joy:

All will be well, it didn't take that long for Rob to sort the Spam problem out did it. Only a year or two. See, no problem. :(:(

I think any praise that is going should be redirected to Wayne @Havit as he took over the reigns and saved this great forum and has done a sterling job ever since. Rob just disappeared and left the forum to flounder.

Day 15 and we are off to Victorville, approx. 200 miles.

It was a hot day with temp reaching 114F, which is a little bit much for us Brits.

We skirted around the Mojave desert with our first stop at the Najah's Desert Oasis.

The next stop was Roy's Motel Cafe in Amboy.

And finally the Elmer 's Bottle Tree Ranch.

Wow, @Bolosun! I'm glad your were able to load these photos. They are quite entertaining! I had no idea that there was a Bagdad, California. This Bagdad is far more interesting than the Bagdad, Arizona that Steve and I rode to on our Prescott getaway a few weeks ago. I'll have to look "your" Bagdad up on a map. And perhaps figure out where all the Bagdads are in the U.S. and make a road trip out of it! ;) I'm continuing to enjoy this thread and very glad you're continuing to post. Thank you!

I rode Hwy 66 in 1974 on my stock XLCH (West to East). That's a 2.2 gallon tank of gas for those uninformed. I made it but needed to stay under 55mph becuase of speed wobble. The back end of the bike was overloaded and I did not learn about CG until later in life. A trip I will always remember.

For our last day we went to the Halloween Party in Disney LA. Our daughter is a Disney nut so this was her idea.

Thanks for your brilliant thread about your Route 66 trip, @Bolosun! I thoroughly enjoyed all of your photos and descriptions. It really does make me want to do the whole of Route 66 one of these days soon!
