While waiting at my local Triumph dealership the other week as the Speed Twin's 12 month service was being carried out I looked around at the second hand bikes and noticed there were three Rocket 3s (although they didn't have and price tags so maybe they were customer's bikes). Anyway couldn't help but notice that the rear grab rail on one of them was brushed aluminium with no kind of protective lacquer, paint or anodizing of any kind and was corroding nicely. I know that Triumph do this on most of their models (Speed Twin included) but I was quite shocked to see it on their £20000 flagship. Being that it is such a large prominent component on the bike this seems rather odd to me.
