I may have said I need a poo poo when I was two. It is universally agreed that I was being serious then.
Its an odd world. I’m a Scot I’m happy to take up the mantle of saying whatever comes to mind. No matter how mildly offensive and inappropriate that might be. Tough job. Needs a specialist. Someone dedicated and passionate about achieving the zenith of diplomatic tact whilst leaving the victims slightly bewildered. Not sure even in my wildest dreams I could top the slanty eyed quip. Still he proved to be correct. An awesome bloke. A true Brit - even if he was half Greek, half Norwegian and half German.
I was forcibly and without consent born there. I have lost both the accent and the tendency to say Scot/Scotland/ or Scottish before ever other word. This becomes immensely annoying when you are aware of it. A genuine sentence might be “The Scottish climate was particularly fair as the Scottish roads were dry and allowed me good progress. I was on my way to one of Scotland’s finest cities to watch a play by some of the most talented actors in Scotland.” Etc, etc.
As you can tell, I am currently honing my skills by antagonising a Scot. I am aware that the average Scot can be triggered into a full on rage by just saying “hello” to them in the wrong accent (English) so this was a easy task. I am however working up to try an insult an American - they are seemingly unable to understand irony and sarcasm. I should enjoy myself immensely.
Actually I was made in Hong Kong, but don't have slanty eyes. As far as Americans are concerned, insofar as one can generalise about a whole nation, there seem to be two types. I have known quite a few who are kind, thoughtful and intelligent. However, there are quite a few who seem to be none of those things, and they are the noisiest.
well he wanted a long time to get his card from the queen ,and missed out by 2 months, but it is a sad loss for England
RIP Philip, It took a lot of dedication to carry off all the things he has achieved over all those years...not an easy job even if he was considered privileged.
Taken from us far too young, I thought there’d be more TV coverage?, mind you with only 24 hours in a day I suppose that’s impossible :-/
I always thought they tried to represent all the UK - Great Britain as it was once called before everyone got nationalistic and started squabbling.
