I don't like to be the one to remind you Darkman, but today is 31/07/19. I know you want to finish things off by the end of this month, almost as much, I suspect, as I want to view the finished product. Put all other things to one side apart from your tools and camera and allow me to drool this evening..............please!!!
Sorry but i have no pic's :-( I built a TR6C for myself over the winer and Su's bike got waylaid for to long and then i decided that another project i had for off roading would make a nice road bike so started doing a rough build of that and Su's bike again took a step back until a few weeks ago i got my arse into gear thinking i would have it done for June and its 50th Birthday, so the bike is done all apart from the paintwork on the tank and mudguards and i have been prepping them all day so i can prime them on Friday with a view to painting them next week
Managed to prime all the last bits for paint but it looks like i won't be able to use the booth again until the week after next for the colour on the tank and mudguards :-(
Had a great result this week with the exhausts, first i successively got a full refund on the L F Harris downpipes that apart from being the wrong bend that i could live with and secondly the fitting was so out of line that i couldn't even make them work. Next good bit was i found a pair of original NOS down pipes for far less as well
Managed to get the silver on today and will be doing the green Thurs/Fri i hope if the booth is spare
Now things come more and more together. I'm already very curious how the newly refurbished seat will look like.
You, Sir, are a real craftsman. Your work, the detail and the quality of the finished products appear to be just flawlessly beautiful. On top of that there appears to be nothing that you're afraid to take on - engine building; painting; upholstery; electrics .......... If you don't mind, I'm just going to slip quietly into a darkened room to see if I can work out the incantations for whichever unholy demons I need to summon and sell my worthless soul to in order to get maybe an ounce of your obvious capabilities. That's not why your forum name is 'darkman' is it? NAH, thought not.
Thank you for your quick response, it looks neat and pretty good! Old seats sometimes require a new foam padding too when the old one is no longer stiff enough.
Thanks from an early age i realized if you want anything doing right then do it yourself as there are plenty of people out there who just don't give a shit sadly, luckily there some very nice people out there as well
Looks mint that mate , wish I had those skills , lucky enough most people only see my race bike from 25 yards away!
