Can anyone identify the model year for the rear of my T509 please? It was last mot'd in 2008 and when I took it yesterday for a new one the examiner laughed at the brake performance.
It's been modified with a later 1050 swinger etc.
    The disc diameter is 220mm.
Thinking of using a Brembo disc unless anyone can suggest other.
    Any help appreciated.

    Cheers
    Nigel

Disc is off the bike, just a case of removing the four bolts and a little jiggling and off it came. Hex bolt heads are a bit plastic so new set required.

the rear brakes are not much use on the t509, t595 and 955i(same)
You can change the master cylinder for a Kawasaki item. 1/2" instead of 14mm.
If that's not enough for you can use the sprint set up with 255mm disc. But you will also need the caliper and mount plus new hose

Thanks for info, it's costly to convert to sprint set up so will stick with the 220 disc.

Disc is the same part number from the t595 to the speed triples of 2010 then.

    Looks like I'm sorted.

    Thanks
