Just got my renewal documents from Carole Nash today. The last but one line on the second page says '' Full payment of £334.92 will be debited from your credit/debit card on your renewal date''. So I rang them up and informed them that they had no authority to take money and since I had never been asked about automatic renewal by them, that this was tantamount to fraud! I was given a load of bullshit about government legislation etc but no explanation as to why they felt entitled to take money automatically. As it happens I can get both of my bikes insured for £88 each with other well known insurers, so Carole Nash were taking the piss with the renewal cost anyway. So guys beware of insurance companies playing the automatic renewal scam and ripping money out of you. Ride safe. Trev.
