Random Spring Found Under My Thruxton 900 In My Garage, Any Ideas?

    Hi guys,

    please see the attached picture i found a random spring on my garage floor its around 50mm long x 10mm wide.

    Was the floor wet where you found it? Someone could have spilt some spring water.:rolleyes:

    That’s the one. Over by the bit that turns that gizmo makes the bit go up and down. Without the spring it falls a bit flat

    Well this thread got of to a great start. Yes I agree could be a bonnet spring. Or if you have an old rear drum brake bike it could be from the brake rod. I am forever finding bits like that and just put them on a side and if I find something missing then relook at it. Don't worry it will sort itself out eventually.

    You don't by any chance use a bike lift. I have a similar spring on my hydraulic lift on the return mechanism

    It's the custard spring that sits next to the wadget flange, all Thruxtons have one.
