Only so many photos of Cornish beaches before it gets a bit boring, so........
Been to the States a couple of times with SWMBO (3 if you count a short business trip to Houston), last time was 2014, first time was 1999 and pre-dates my move to digital so not going to see any of them. All the shots will be from our last trip and for those interested taken on a Nikon D800 with AF-S Nikkor 28-300mm zoom (unfortunately reduced for uploading).
So thought I'd start throwing in a few teasers and will reveal the locations along the way - our brothers and sisters across the pond are surely bound to recognise their own country. ;)

Had a walk down Ulverston canal this morning. Used to be a busy boat building and importing area. Now a home for lots of nesting swans etc.

It' sad to see the canal lock gates in such a state, there's a project for a conservation group. Nice view from your wifes bench.

Just for clarity, my wife is safely sat across the room from me now! It was one of her friends husband the bench was for. :)

More cactus flowers. These are blooming on the now very large prickly pear cactus in our front yard.

Minnie, the unfeasibly energetic Cockerpoo at the top of Laddow Rocks. I don't think she actually notices gradients

I've had the same thing happen when posting photos to the forum, but (seemingly) randomly. When I get the occasional photo that says it's too big to load I just do a quick screen shot of it and then it always loads. Go figure. It's all magic anyway!! ;):joy:

And FastStone is another resizer if you're working on Windows pc (what I've used for these posts), my original full res shots are circa 15mb, I think image size is limited to about 3mb on the forum from what I've tried uploading.

Anyway, typical Bank Holiday weather so no ride out today, killing time at the pc.
So a few more shots from Seattle........
The jets of the fountain in the park were sync'd to Beatles music being played over a speaker system, made a couple of Brits feel right at home. :)

I didn't even need to leave the front yard yesterday morning to take a photo of this cactus bloom! This was the first bloom of the season on one of our cereus cacti. The plants bloom overnight and the flowers only last through the next morning. The flowers are quite large--this one was larger than my hand with fingers outstretched. They are truly beautiful and this was the first of (hopefully) many this spring.
