Hi baldybiker, .....well,.....I've been waiting and waiting......but no joy to date....... ....I was convinced you'd have put some pics on of your Ural/Velorex combo on here by now but it looks like I am going to have to chivvy you about it.......pics and details please.....plus the stories of your adventures on it.....and I bet the seat in the chair is far more comfy than the seats on any of the Thunderbird range!....... Cheers, dickydido
I picked this up yesterday around 13.00 hours. (first image) Then I did this to it (second image). It had 250 miles on the clock (ex demonstrator). I went to visit an old friend today and then we went for a further ride. It now needs it's first (500 mile) service! Oh yeah, and it's a wonderful machine, I love it!
It now occurs to me I should have posted the Ural/Velorex outfit elsewhere not being a Thunderbird and all. Apologies. Should I move it?
Hi baldybiker, ......I think your Ural combo looks a lot of fun.....and no need for a 'slab rack' with the storage space in that 'chair'!.......is that 'Mrs baldy b' in the chair?......whoever it is they look happy....has it got a reverse gear?....you gotta ask why all manufacturers who make big, heavy bikes do not stick a reverse in the 'box' to shift the bugger about in those awkward situations.....it'd save a lot of drops, near misses and hernias!!!...... .....and don't worry about sticking pic's of a non Triumph bike on a Triumph Owners Forum since you own at least one Triumph bike as well so that compensates for the Ural !..............there are folk on here who don't have even one Triumph but we still like/love/tolerate them!......it's a 'broad church' here.....that's why we can accommodate something as wide as your combo so easily!!........ ....enjoy that crackin' new Commander..... Cheers, dickydido
Hiya Dilligaf, Yes it's certainly fun, and it is Mrs. Bb in the chair. She does like her sidecar and has taken ownership of it. And yes, it does have a proper reverse gear which is extremely useful on an outfit. Thank's for your kind comments, I don't feel so bad now. I'm already enjoying the Commander, I think we're going to do a lot of miles together. I've made a good decision there. It's such a gorgeous pleasing machine. Cheers to you too!
Hi Petrol, Remember those, a mates mate had one. I loved the feel of it. Unfortunately at the time I was in no position to acquire one.
Hi baldybiker It was dickydido who was praising your combo not me I said Urrgh!! Urrgh!! Was written in jest though mate Perhaps if I had a combo my mrs would come with me Ha I won't be getting a combo!
Hertfordshire Triumph, Redbourne, Hemel Hempstead. Perhaps they all look the same in their corporate-ness.
My apologies. Perhaps she would. Would that be a good thing? My Mrs. loves her (yes her) sidecar although I have to say she would be the first to admit she is rather a fair weather sidearrist, although does brave the first sidecar meet of the year in January with me.
Yes, street legal... very throaty at idle... and get alot lowder when on the throttle...sleeper pipes...love them. Can be a bit pricey however 1200.00 to 1500.00 USD.
Hi Stevie.... ......you been watching those 'Wallace and Gromit' DVD's again?.......... Cheers, dickydido
Hi dilligaf.... ......so, not into a 'bit on the side'........but from what I read elsewhere you fancy a 'bit behind'!!!...... Cheers, dickydido
