If the roads dry up a bit and there's no salt, I might actually ride it instead of just looking at it.
Thanks. I can never make my mind up, like the fake carbs it's just a styling thing and I've always favoured function over form, but these Thruxtons do just look really nice and do go quite well at the end of the day.
Not getting much riding in so far this year. Got out for a short run in the murk yesterday....that view beyond the inlet should be of blue sea and Kapiti Island! At least the roads stayed dry till I got home.
Thanks. I have an aversion to the current fad for matt black everything, satin finishes and 'form over function' items so hence the shiny stuff and missing bits.
Yes mate, I took them off and flipped them around and I'm very happy with the result. I had thought about getting some Bonneville bars, but that would have probably necessitated longer cables, wiring and brake line etc. The bike is pretty much as I'd want it now although I am looking at possibly changing the front brake caliper and the rear shocks.
When I bought mine the guy had flipped the bars, it was quite comfortable, I've got an flat seat for it too. its changed a bit since then
Thanks, bugger to wax though! I've resorted to using a cotton bud to try and get the wax out of the lettering. I'd have preferred a black transfer to be honest.
