A pic from this weeks trip to the Brecon Beacons... Was really impressed with how well the Thruxton tours and even more impressed with 173 miles before having to fill up!!!
Now the first service is done, as Spacefrog mentioned, a bit smooter in the gearbox. A part from that, it feels good that I am now able to ”open it up” a little bit more. Of to Trysil next friday, back Saturday. A small roundtrip of some 1300km in two days.
Whoa…..! Your bike looks like its just out of the show room, i suppose it is, as you have only done approx 500kms.
As a matter of fact it has 1470 km on the clock...at this picture. The dealer said it was good to run it a bit more than the 800km stated in the book for the first service. Who am I to argue with that? Plenty more to come.... F

Yes fredrik, however in the uk the recommended 1st service is 400 miles, and then they say thats it until 10k miles, i think thats a bit too far but who am i to argue too, however i just changed my oil at 4k miles. Are there many thruxtons in Sweden,? and do the Swedish understand or know about the 60's and 70's cafe racer scene/era ?, or did that type of thing happen in sweden too? did you have bonnevilles back in the days…..?
The it is the same in Sweden. Yes, the cafe racer trend is,and has been, big in Sweden. A fair amount of Thruxton:s around. Triumph:s biggest dealer in the Nordics is situated here in Gothenburg and they are doing it great. Sales increasing and more Triumphs in the streets. F
