What a great bike - congratulations!! I have the same pipes from Total Triumph...so guessing that's where it came from (edit: just seen your other thread). Love that tank...how's the finish and quality of the paint? Not heard the term 'showcase' before...presumed to mean 'fully loaded' with what looks like a large proportion of the accessories catalogue. 8 sleeps to go
Hi Mr Triple, Total Triumph send their paintwork out to a specialist and it is excellent quality. I’d not heard of a showcase until I was looking and it’s a load of extras, indicators, tail light, engine bars, headlight bezel, headlight guard, high front mudguard (but they kept this one standard, but painted black), radiator guard, arrows exhaust, side stand extender and handle bar brace. I got the screen brackets fitted and put my screen off my speed twin on it. Craig at Total Triumoh did me a good deal as I am a loyal customer and this will be my 5th Triumph from them. It won’t be long, one week tomorrow
...and a brown (low?) seat, engine and clutch badges, bar end mirrors, and a tail tidy from TEC. I do love a game of spot the difference You might find the pipes quite noisy at first, but either they settle down or you partially lose your hearing. They add so much missing character...and your indicators are nicely out of the way where they can't melt. I added a Boosterplug to mine which appeared to cure its tendency to stall at low revs (the internet is divided on these, but it seems good to me). I also chopped the unused indicator tabs off the tail tidy. I love the look of yours - really classy.
Thanks Mr Triple. I’ve read about the low revs stalling, I’ll see if I experience it. You’ve spotted the changes well, the Triumph bar end mirrors are really smart, quite small, but nice and tidy.
Yes, they are good guys to deal with and Total Snacks that are on their site do great food too. Regularly pop in for a bacon and or sausage sarny.
I went out and played in the dirt with some KTM boys this weekend in the Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina. The first time I've actually taken my XE off the asphalt since I bought it. Great time out, only dropped it once around a moist hard turn and the guards did exactly what they were suppose to do. I got away with only a minor rub on the hand guard. I was secretly hoping I had damaged them so I could justify getting some Bark Busters, maybe next time.
Sounds like a great time! I’ve done a few short gravel track sections here in the UK but off road access is limited and becoming more restricted all the time. From my little experience the bike feels great off road - I’ve watched a few videos of people over here ‘giving it a go’ and they seem scared to ride it!
Aside from a few factory accessories that the bike arrived with, this photo includes TEC bar end mirrors, levers, Monza gas cap, BC shotgun pipes, Free Spirit H-pipe and booster plug. More to come, perhaps dressser bars and a better license plate holder and indicators.
Great looking bike - loving the black, white, silver theme...but I'm going to have to say something deeply critical and contentious. Your ACG badge is upside down
