haha yep I know logically it should be okay - just when you’re stood there holding the petrol nozzle trying not to spill it everywhere and you can feel the heat on your leg from the cat it seems wrong haha!
Stand on the other side. I'm guessing you're not happy with the idea of filling a petrol tank with fuel before you weld a crack either...
It does me but it’s just because the tank is high up which makes filling it a little awkward for me anyway but in time with practice you won’t give it a second thought.
Just replaced the original air intake covers with black ones. Think they improve the look ....... what do you think?, ( compare Davidw pic above). Great quality item but a pain to install on the right side , ( need to take off exhaust and heat shields ☹️).

After fitting my tail tidy I finally got round to getting some excellent motogadget indicators that fit in with the new sleek back end a bit better... Really good bits and the triumph adapters they sell make fitting a breeze. Properly bright too! Much happier with the way the bike looks now...
Just bought Kellerman indicators, fitted to the Tec tail tidy. Now ordered Extender adaptors to come past the plate and fit with a single mount.
Picked my XE up 3 weeks ago, fitted front mudflap, Booster Plug, case guards and heat shield film so far. Waiting for some parts to arrive. Fun bike to ride.
First post. I’ve had more then my share of bikes but I just picked up my first Triumph Scrambler 1200XE.
Been keeping myself busy this year since getting the Scram, albeit most of the jobs during the height of 'rona furlough. Finally found arrow pipe, led indicators, tail tidy, moto bars, direct mount reservoir, shorty grips etc etc etc. Next big job will be replace oem speedo, thinking motogadget unit. Winter job that though before I start with bloody electrickery.
