I was in a band and did a photo shoot for a magazine 26 years ago (see bottom photo). My old bass player has kept in contact with the photographer over the years and spoke to him recently (as he's thinking of buying a bonnie), and wanted to know if we would like to pop over to him on our bikes and discuss Triumphs. Whilst we was there we started reminiscing of the old days and he suggested a quick impromptu photoshoot of us in his local area. 20mins later we were finished, and he sent over the results. I've got hundreds of photos of my bike and me riding it, but I was surprised at the difference a proper photographer makes. Great evening out, and hopefully he will be joining us on his Bonnie soon.
One from an evening out with a very good photographer, he took some great photos thought I would share one of them.
Just found your pic, those are really nice mods. We were chatting in a different thread about the air intake covers, have you painted them because they look dark grey to me. Also how did you get that four bar tank badge on? I thought they only screwed on to the larger T100/120 tanks, but it looks really good.
Here are a couple pics of my new T120. I just received notice my detachable windshield has shipped from Mastad so I will add a pic of it later. Edit: Added pics of the Mastad quick attach windshield on the bike. The shield looks a bit tall on the bike but so am I. It works great out on the highway which is what I bought it for. It can be removed or put back on in 30 seconds or less. Most of the time the bike will be naked as I have a full time highway touring bike already. I took my wife out today for her first ride on the Bonneville and she loved it.
Thanks mate, yes I have sprayed them black, and with the tank badges I had triumph put them on for me before I picked it up.
The band was called SPY and the album LIVEWIRE is still available on spotify / itues / amazon etc I was the lead guitarist and wrote the music the vocalist wrote the lyics.
It's my Birthday today and my wife has brought me a new Triumph Beck leather jacket. Looks just like my Belstaff, but with more protection than a single layer of waxed cotton I'm off to test it out.
Fitted the new Burton bike bits seat, I loved the look of the original with white piping but my wife especially found it uncomfortable and after a couple of long trips it had to go. Yes the topbox is ugly but so useful not having to carry helmets around. The Burton is a brilliant seat 10/10
Yeah, it always looks bigger in pictures. It's a 46 litre givi, when we go out on trips we actually walk and visit beaches, castles, mountains etc, so helmets are a bloody nuisance. The box takes our helmets and gloves and carries our food and drinks etc, we don't just go to the nearest cafe/pub for a pose.
