I bought my T100 in November and initially had of loads problems ( dont know if will buy again from my local dealer) . In response to your problem I have just done 500 mile service and had similar rust problems. I didn't say to dealer because of the initial issues . I get a lot of condensation on bike when its in storage . I never had any problems this way with my previous bike Honda NC . Finding I have to keep on top of if by cleaning frequently and using ACF 50 . Also found brushed aluminium casings suffer if you don't wipe them after each ride out . I made the mistake of putting bike away for a few days and salt must have attacked the aluminium. I try to clean, dry and use ACF on spokes as often as can . Use GT85 to clean brushed aluminium . Know how you feel with the impractacbility issues . I am finding it is a high maintenance bike regarding cleaning, protecting from corrosion.
It’s a great shame they put profit over quality the phoenix’s that can out of the fire only to fail again
That does look pretty bad. I’ve noticed even the Brembo discs on my 765 where the blank is punched out rust when just rinsing, bare in mind this is from normal tap water so I cringe thinking what it would look like over time if I stayed abroad where salt is part of the equation.
New addition to the family. Meet Virginia.. Shipped back to-day from a pleasant lady in Minnesota. A 2006 Bonnie with several additions and subtractions. Simple, elegant, and understated. A perfect DGR ride, if you will.
That looks great, I need to install the eyelid on mine as I well. With only a few on the road I rode as well. We did have some roads blocked to minimize travel during this time.
It's actually a very cool place in the Malibu canyons with a ton of bikers hanging out there on the weekends. You get all kinds of bikes coming up and see Jay Leno over there quite often bringing bikes from his collection. www.rock-store.com
