Long weekend in Czech on the inlaws Bonnie, got surrounded by some big boys on GS's who were interested in my exhausts, asking where are the actual fumes coming out if the end is screwed shut :D
Running around with the better half in our truck looking after some friends horses for few days.
That thing is so different to my big 1200XE, yet somehow still exciting and very raw experience. No ABS or traction, suspension is shocking really especially with tires at the recommended pressure, I'm well cramped on it but a still had a blast and it's bloody loud, pops and bangs all over the place. Good times.

I bought this just a couple of days ago. It is loaded with flaws. The tank is pretty badly scratched up by what appears to have been a dog carried on the bike over a long period. It's quirky to start after it is warmed up. It's still pretty dirty after sitting a long time. But it's a lot of fun to ride and will be a welcome member of this family.

This is so nice seeing a bike identical to mine in such a beautiful setting! I need to go do the same thing close to my home in Silver City, New Mexico.

What a great photograph! It would be nice to still be riding when - or if - I hit 79. My oldest brother was the reason I became enamored with motorcycles back in 1965. The love affair has remained ever since.

Hope you enjoy your new acquisition! I’m sure it will clean up just fine. I really enjoy riding the SE. It is the most easy-going, most forgiving bike I have ever ridden - puts a smile on my face every time. Look forward to seeing your pictures in the New Mexico scenery. I was a big fan of Breaking Bad and that desert landscape - though Silver City may be quite different to Albuquerque

I love this bike. It is a breeze to ride and just plain fun. I want to take it up into the Black Range, but would prefer to go with others rather than on my own. And, yes, I think it will clean up very well... It just has a few minor quirks is all.

After doing some mods and maintenance over the last few days, I finally got out for a ride today...

Nice. I like the mudguards, are they 1-offs? Also, I much prefer the grey painted engines to the later black ones.

    Thanks :)

The mudguards are polished aluminium from Motone Customs. I modified a Motone tail tidy, so that it would fit nicely with the rear mudguard. The indicators are a British Customs chrome bullet kit from Squaredeals.
