Quick update here: We got off the boat and had booked a hotel near Miami Airport where we now reside. I booked the hotel on line and the cruise company had agreed to take us from Fort Lauderdale to this hotel. Obviously I omitted to tell them that we had tested positive a few days ago and we needed to isolate further with them . We had a private transfer organised by the cruise company and The funny thing is, the driver of our private taxi sounded worse than we did. He kept coughing and opening the window. He was dressed in a surgical white coat and medical gloves. We hadn’t told the new hotel we were positive and didn’t want to turn up looking like Covid cases. . So I asked him if he would mind taking his medical jacket off before the hotel…. He got out at a set of traffic lights and took it off . I’d just tipped him $5 before I asked … We’ve got checked in and face masked up we’ve settled in ..! We’re in the gardens miles from anyone and I am pretty well over it I think . The missus is 90% over it . Fly home Tomorrow evening . Will do a lateral flow test in the morning but should be ok to travel as the restriction have gone … Phew. Will be glad to be back home..!
