Lymington in the new forest and on the south coast. (This is a re-post, i somehow deleted the original??)
East Sussex (Uckfield) although hoping to be moving to Bideford in Devon within the next couple of months.
Good luck, I lived in Bideford for a couple of years back in the early 1980's - may have changed slightly now though! Best pub then was the Kings Arms on the quayside.
Seems OK to me, so perhaps it has changed but then again I didn't know it in the 80's. Anyway I'll be retired so it'll be great. Plus the Mrs will be changing jobs and therefore will not have to wear a stab vest to work every day so she'll be happy.
No I meant good luck with the move not the place! I had a great time down there - shared a house with two mates at the top of the High Street . Ate a lot of pasties and drank a lot of beer. There used to be 26 pubs in Bideford and East the Water - bet a lot if those are long gone now. Apparently there were 48 originally!
Cool. Sorry, guess I was a bit worried for a while. Just need to get our house sold first. Told my boss yesterday that I plan to retire and it felt great! So, fingers crossed it sells quick otherwise we may loose the house we have our eye on. Watch this space.
Good luck with the house sale - must admit that buying and selling houses is not in my top list of favourite things to do!
Hello Jay. Right now I am very envious of anybody living in California. Come February winter has outstayed its welcome here. A fishing trip down Baja to East Cape would be very welcome right now!
With the snow falling outside right now the Test looks more attractive for fishing than the Tweed never mind Albert Hammond and the precipitation of Southern California (damn, there goes that dictionary again!)
