After a good woodland walk, Amber still wants to play whilst I’m doing the important job of burning stuff and having a brew!!!
Not so much a pet, more of a visitor. This is George. He showed up last summer. Conventional wisdom is that if a normally wild animal is acting way out of character, stay away. It's usually a sign of sickness. George hung around for several days, showing no fear of us, but we kept our distance. After three days or so, it was apparent he wasn't sick. He just seemed to like our company. He hung around on our porch and happily jumped onto your lap if you sat down. Meka, our pit bull, seemed to understand that we would prefer she didn't kill George and would gently sniff him or give him a little shove with her snout. George was treated to peanuts and such and all in all, was a pretty good guest for about two weeks. I went out one morning and he wasn't there to greet me. Never saw him again. Probably fell victim to one of the neighborhood cats or a hawk. Nice while it lasted.
We are dog sitting a bi-eyed cutie too! My daughter and her band are up in Vermont, so we get "Ashley" for the weekend. Ashley has only been with them for about a month, a shelter rescue, but she's a gem. She and our pit "Meka" are getting along famously.
And it's an L first. She actually let me pick her up and hold her for a bit. Tail was flailing as if to say, "not cool" so I kept it to about 30 seconds. I've got her on about 2-3mg's of CBD a day so maybe it's finally starting to chill her out. Monumental.
That's great! Pretty soon (relatively speaking) she'll be sleeping on your lap. My animal-related motto has become "patience brings progress with pets".
She finally started using the $75 cat tower we got her 4 months ago. The little bits of debris is catnip.
What a happy look on her face, DCS! Nothing like a good rummage to perk up the soul...as most dogs know.
My neighbour has 2 collies and both of them have the David Bowie eyes. i looked it up and it's called Heterochromia it's caused by a lack of pigment in the eyes. it affects several breads but collies seem to be affected the most
My daughters came over for dinner last night. My eldest brought our 3 y/o pit, Meka, a present! The "INDESTRUCTIBLE BALL" Ten minutes in - destroyed.
