Hey Red! Awesome post! I am severely allergic to cats and dogs, so regrettably I don't have someone "on the couch" for me, but I am still definitely an animal lover. The thing I am struck by with stories of animals like yours is the wonderful example pets set for us. Dogs with "disabilities" don't sit moping about the leg they no longer have. They don't dwell on what used to be. They get on with living and find new ways to thrive. They adapt to what is. And I don't intend to demean a person who's lost a limb or other malady, but the ability to be present, accept each moment as being how it's meant to be and just live. That is a recipe for happiness! Give Ella a good scratch behind the ears and an extra doggie treat from me!
Fabulous photos of your boy! Especially the one of him running through the snow looking ecstatic to just be...out running through the snow!
Cheers JP, they are special aren't they Ella certainly does enjoy a scratch behind the ear, probably because she can't do it she makes most if it when I do it for her
The wee man sleeping off his special Birthday tea. 11 today. He liked his squeaky ball too but it seems to have disappeared already.
Most of us have heard about the way to convert our dog years to human years. Turns out that old "one year for a dog = seven human years" isn't correct. I just read this interesting article that was in Psychology Today. Thought I'd share it with you dog lovers on the forum. https://www.psychologytoday.com/int...netics-shows-how-convert-dogs-age-human-years
Somebody found this Corgi puppy laid out in a shop surrounded by claret. They thought he'd been attacked and was hurt and bleeding... It turns out he'd eaten and entire jar of Jam and passed out on the floor in a sugar crash...
when I first looked at this pic I thought why put this pic up then laughing when the pic was explained, great pics and a cracking pup.
