Some action pics of my boy trying to get a stick off me today And then he got distracted by a pigeon:
They’re Maine Coons D, a year apart. The one in the bottom picture is the eldest @ 2 years old and the other one is the baby sister @ 1 year old. Very different personalities, the eldest famous around the house for her facial expressions .
My little girl gives me 30 seconds of Barking on the spot, and stamping her feet in time. There's no way I can get my shoes on without her noticing, even when she's pretending to be asleep. Looks like you're walking by yourself tonight DD.
Sad day here at the Tiglet household as yesterday my English Springer Spaniel Fizzy had to leave this world. I was there as she was being born and there at the end. She now lying east to west alongside her mum Alice in my garden along with her aunt and uncle. Fizzy was the last of my dogs, the last of the bloodline that I created. As most working dogs she would turn out in the foulest of winter weather, work all day and never complained, she loved being outside working. Highly intelligent and very obedient. Having been around and owning working dogs, Springers and Labs virtually all my life I can’t describe what it’s like to not have a dog here. She was my last dog. Fizzy last July
So sorry to hear that Tiglet, It's always a sad time when you lose a member of the family. I'm welling up just thinking about it. My heart goes out to you and your family. A sad time indeed.
Family pets are just that - family first, pets second ..... regardless of whether or not they're working 'varieties'. Pets have a way of getting into your heart and soul and, although they seem to be dependant on you/us, we often learn - the hard way - just how much we depend on them. Unconditional love, obedience, affection and companionship are SO heartbreaking to lose when a close pet leaves us that it can seem almost unbearable. You, clearly, gave Fizzy life and she rewarded you with hers. Remember the good times (as if you could forget!) and the pain will pass.
