So sorry for you Andy, remember where she was when you got her, the great life she's had and be proud of what you've done for her. Terry
I'm really sorry to hear this Andy,i know how much she meant to you, like you say it's a really hard thing for us to do, I've had to do it a few times and it always gives me a big lump in my throat and a tear in my eye,but later when you realize that you have done the best for your buddy you start to feel a bit better about it R.I.P Lucy
I don 't know you, Andy, but know where you are, mate. Been there, and it's difficult every time. But although it doesn't make it easier, it's the right thing to do. Hang in there.
Really sorry for your loss, it is really hard, think of the great times you had together and all the love you shared with Lucy. Best wishes.
Sorry for you Jez, but I'm sure Lunar will be well catered for soon, it's in the stars, I'm lucky because we don't do 'holidays', no in-laws, out-laws or any other laws in out house-hold! Andy, Gumtree is a good place to look, but be careful, be aware of puppy farming, or free/cheap second hand offered, some can have real behavioural problems.
Absolutely beautiful, I hope you have many years together. Really pleased for you both. Cheapest puppy training pads we found are B&M £3.99 for 30.
Exactly what we did Andy, horrible coming home to no dog, our Cocker is a raving loonie, he'll be a year old in couple of weeks.
Late on this one Andy, really sorry about it. Happy you started a new chapter with a beautiful little pup, wish you both many happy years together!
Today has been a sad day, it is a year today since we lost our beloved boy Freddie after rescuing him 14 years previously. We have considered another dog, but I think we are just not ready yet. I know some of the forum members have also lost beloved pets recently, and how difficult is is when the time comes to say goodbye. I enjoy reading this thread when you guys put pictures up of your new pups and best friends, and if any of you are in Yorks area and want a dog sitter, give us a shout. @andyc1, congratulations on giving floyd a new home, he is a real beauty.
That looks like a lovely dog... It's hard having to say goodbye, I know, having lost beloved horses and dogs - but no better cure than getting a successor. And that by no means means betrayal to the departed one.
It's funny - we're in the process of buying a house (with a garage...) so things are somewhat stressfull. Our wee bulldog, who usually walks by herself, is now very affectionate and cuddly. We have no idea how sensitive our little companions are...
Heres mine, one minute in pain with hip dyspepsia the next bouncing all round the joint, I dont know what to make of it. Anyway heres a good day.
We've just got our old'n past the 13 y/o post, so we are pleased about that but already sad knowing what the inevitable to come is in the not too distant future, Bonnie's keeping him going with a flush of yoof!
My Border Terrier was in bad odour today. The little sh1t took advantage of my fence crossing to roll in fresh cowsh. He was green from head to tail and he craftily spent most of the rest of the walk upwind of me despite my shouts. He was somewhere between mystified and outraged when he got hosed down on return. Wheatgrass smoothie he was not; more like a septic mojito ..........
