Optimate, Yes Or No?

    How do you claim on the unlimited mileage warranty on a charger see left hand lower corner :neutral:

    @Mad Cow Sorry i disagree with that. It needs a separate charger is more expensive and really no difference plus if it drains it gone no recharging. And the weight difference is not going to make that much difference if any.

    My Firestorm has been off the road for almost 5 years it's been on an optimate all that time I bought the bike back in 2015 and still has the battery on that it came with it holds enough charge to start this V-twin which due to the torque of these type of engines require a minimum charge of 12.5v to start them without knackering the sprag clutch so in my opinion is definitely an optimate or similar product is always the way to go and for an average of £40 it's definitely a better bet than replacing a sprag clutch or battery prematurely.
    So to recap battery on bike for over ten years always on an optimate and still fully serviceable ;)

    How time flies, I posted this eight years ago. I connected the Optimate every time I wasn't using the trike and had to replace the battery every two years, even when I sold it the battery was dead. 20251002_115804.jpg
