I have just had one of those chats with my wife which sort of went like this.....

Umm dear you know that bike that I was looking at on E Bay that I didn't buy because it was a previous write off...... Pause and then she says yes ( very suspiciously)

Well you see I had another look around and found another bike that is a bit older but it's done less than 10000 miles and is in really good condition......... How much is it??

I have had a chat to a friend and he says that they are very rare and one in this good a condition ........ Not interested just how much is it??? (I am now getting evil stare from her and the foot tapping)

Well i have spoken to the guy and he has dropped the price by £250...... That's very good but how much???

Well I have paid Mumble .. Mumble pounds for it..... Very long silence followed by a very loud 'HOW MUCH!!!' and You've already got 2 bikes and you cannot ride all of them at once!

Anyway after further several loud conversations I have managed to talk her around to the idea ... (sort of)

So here is my new bike that I have acquired with 2 owners and less than 10000 miles on the clock.

Was it worth all the agro from her indoors. Bloody Hell Yes!!!

Sorry about the photo I will load a decent one later it's a 93 Daytona 1000 that is mint :)

Ha funny you should say that, been having a conversation with my other half tonight about my need for a winter bike; she didn't say no point blank, didn't say much at all actually. Actually she's not talking to me at all

    Result Richard :upyeah:

I'm just going to be on my best behaivour for the next couple of months and make sure that the dishes are done and do more than my fair share of putting the ankle grippers to bed until she gets used to the idea although it may be a bit of an issue with space in the garage as there will be bugger all room might have to store one of them at the outlaws (and that is another complete kettle of worms altogether)

I maybe trying to keep up with a mate who has just got his hands on this 750

I have a new stratagy now, eldest lad now at University can not afford to run his Ducati So is going to sell it, once gone we may jointly buy an Enduro that I can ride in the winter and he has use of when back from uni, his 33bhp restriction will be gone in a few months.

Yes but we're all poor this side of the pond, careful long term planning is needed when expanding the two wheeled fleet: " you lost a few lbs?"....." you go out with your girl friends tonight I'll look after the kids" ..... " like the hair, new stylist?"........" I'll cook tonight"....... " want a back massage?".....
Then you need to convince SWMBO'd that this second bike could be a sound investment for the future, a future classic even.
Then you have a quite word with your lads, get them on side (easily bribed!) ...... 3 against 1 then.

And we're a gettin' poorer of this side too.......Anyone wanna trade politicians?????
Great pointers......but.....with a "new" USED car......usually a Toyota......she gets an "extravagant" gift that I can trade in on the next years gift.......I get to add to the stable without hassle.......of course....nightly foot rubs don't hurt......and that cute little '63 Tiger Cub I bought her..................

Sound plan but I can not use the second bike argument as this is bike number 3. Somehow I think bike number 4 is going to be a struggle.

Might have to wait to next year until I try that I think

You could always threaten to use the Street Triple as your Winter bike?

I think she is coming round to the idea now, she said "If you want one you go out and get one".
Now do I take that literally or is that female speak for something different???

I ran it through 'Google Translate'. Apparently it means 'If you want to live on your own with your balls cut off, go ahead'. Hope this helps.

The most interesting and excited holiday is Halloween, and many dealers also want to find cheap Halloween costumes for the season sale. Why not consider dear-lover.com or shiyingsexylingerie.com? They are experts on manufacture and wholesale Halloween costumes.

Are you sure Bry? I always thought that anything a woman says was untranslatable

As my old man used to say ... They are a strange breed of cattle.

Just in case your not sure

    NINE WORDS WOMEN USE

    (1) Fine< /B>: This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

    (2) Five Minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour. Five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house.

    (3) Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes. Arguments that begin with nothing usually end in fine.
    (4) Go Ahead: This is a dare, not permission. Don't Do It!

    (5) Loud Sigh: This is actually a word, but is a non-verbal statement often misunderstood by men. A loud sigh means she thinks you are an idiot and wonders why she is wasting her time standing here and arguing with you about nothing. (Refer back to # 3 for the meaning of nothing.)

    (6) That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a women can make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hard before deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake.

    (7) Thanks: A woman is thanking you, do not question, or faint. Just say you're welcome. (I want to add in a clause here - This is true, unless she says 'Thanks a lot' - that is PURE sarcasm and she is not thanking you at all. DO NOT say 'you're welcome' . that will bring on a 'whatever').

    (8) Whatever: Is a woman's way of saying F-- YOU!

    (9) Don't worry about it, I'll do it: Another dangerous=2 0statement, meaning this is something that a woman has told a man to do several times, but is now doing it herself. This will later result in a man asking 'What's wrong?' For the woman's response refer to # 3.
