Tried a few lids today (Nolan , Held and some other things) . Made me look like a character from Wallace and Gromit. I`m pretty new to biking/bikes and know there are manufacturers that use the one shell size for all their helmets, just packing out the smaller sizes. I have a head like a fucking turnip so I`m needing a 56, which equates to a S/M or there abouts. Any pointers to manufacturers that use different shell sizes so I don't look like a fucking lightbulb? I don't mind spending decent money on a helmet. Any help appreciated guys. Anyone any input on Davida?
Thanks for the responses. I'll check em out. Bubble wrap I`ve already tried for safety underpants once and worked a treat.
I've got a 1970's Buco, a great helmet if you can find one... Try a NEXX G10, they look spot on... http://nexx-helmets.com/en/catalog/show/2015/helmets/open-face/x.g10
I've got an open faced Helmet from Premier, Premier vintage. The Thing is with low Profile helmets is most if not all have no EEC sticker and if you ever go to Italy and get caught they'll have your bike
Davida are pretty pricey but they are good or so I'm told. You need to go to supplier and try on several to get the sizing right and you'll probably have to order it once you get the right size/style. Personally I'll stick to a flip front lid as I've seen some poor sod who face planted a car boot and rear window.
If thats correct then - oohhh my god that's terrible jez, was half thinking you was heading towards one of your jokes, but as you say that's Horrific !!!! I've worn a piss pot of some description nearly all my biking life !!! (even not for road use/ novelty ones !!) MAKES YOU THINK AGAIN DONT IT
I agree Twinpot looks great, - what did you reckon on the other picture of the Bandit in the helmet lol see below
looking at that lid it reminds me of something else actually - what could it be - ohh yes it could be this
