Ohlin's Front End Speed Twin

sorry to hear that. I'm new to the forum, but understand the value of shop work to get your mind in a different place, whether something tragic or PTSD etc. Good luck and btw, the bike looks amazing !

On a side note, I'm looking at these posts, entertaining the idea of trading into this bike and starting to figure the added cost of suspensions ... glad it may not be a functional need!

 

Hi Lessaint, I have a 2019 Speed twin for which I bought Ohlins forks from a 2016 Speed Triple.
My question is, what triple clamp did you use? Did you use the one from Speed triple? I know you said that you had one machined for your other bike. But for the Speed Twin it looks like a Triumph triple clamp.

Gorgeous looking bike. Time and money well spent in my opinion. I have the same bike in the same colour but with standard suspension (which I haven't found to be lacking), but yours looks epic

 

Zombie thread, sorry folks I know this hasn't been touched in a few years but it's prudent to a project I'm working on right now.

Lessaint - not sure if you'll see this, but I wanted to ask, once you'd machined the meat off the hub, how much thread was left for the disc bolts to engage onto please?

Or if anyone else has done this - is there enough thread left, or at least material left to drill and tap into to do this?
