    470 miles today, and landed in the town of Besancon. A lot of boring motorway miles, but hey ho - into the mountains tomorrow!

    I'm not sure what that fence was for, to be honest. Perhaps to prevent drunk lorrydrivers from wandering onto the motorway?

    Thanks mate. We're lucky we can get out and about. The French have my head reeling though- they all bumble about with masks on, but once sat all bets are off - hugging, kissing, as if there's nothing going on... the mind boggles... that said, I'm glad I can get away - hopefully it'll stay dry(ish)...
