Just dragged this out and fired it up, not been used since October.
I bought this 650 lightning a few years ago , it was a bit tatty but the engine was ok ...all that was required was a new clutch.
The cycle parts were not so good and took me about a year to get to a reasonable standard.
Good fun to ride through, loads of vibration but handling is surprising..nimble and positive for a bike made in 1966.
Then there's the sound, could only be a British 360 degree twin, the modern stuff is just not the same....no matter how they try to replicate it.
I have done a couple of 200 plus runs on it and got home knackered!
As for the tank badge.....pure nostalgia!

Yes, I sold my old 1973 T120, could hardly give it away...nobody seemed to want the oil in frame models, different now and I wish I still had it,trouble is finding space to put them.

Do you ever go to Mudeford Quay or Churchill Arms as always a good gathering of old bikes.

Yes, I'm only a couple of miles away from mudeford, better than Poole, too busy there now.
Not sure about the churchill arms, is that the one near fordingbridge?

Nice bike, there is something about owning a British classic. Will be adding a Beezer to the collection at some point
