Hi Havit, It's an awful lot like that yes. My fathers was a two seater (he courted my mother on it) and was a 1953 model - just before the sprung hub was replaced with the arm in 1954. Well spotted though. Being really specific, his had a fairing on it - but I very much doubt any of those survived. Anyone else who might know where you point me would be much appreciated. I know you guys are way better connected to the Triumph scene than I. Thanks, Andrew
Hi, Andrew. A bit closer to home for you, why not check out the Craven Collection just outside York www.cravencollection.co.uk which may be helpful to you. Stockton on the Forest has even been placed handily on the Hull side of York purely for your personal convenience. How utterly thoughtful. Not been there for many a year but it's well worth the effort. Have a look at the ads in magazines such as Classic Bike Guide, Classic Bike and Classic Motorcycle (I think - not bought one recently). They can be a good source of knowledge - mostly.
Just had a look at the Craven site. Hmmmm .... next open day 5th August eh?? I can feel a trip out coming on!!
Hi Andrew I should have mentioned earlier that, if you're looking for good sources of supply of machines or parts, you might be well advised to subscribe to "OLD BIKE MART" - it's a Mortons Media publication now (what isn't?) and you can get more information on www.oldbikemart.co.uk Regards Adie
