Hi Gasanders. Wheels are non-standard - unless I'm very much mistaken. They look to be the same as I had on my '02 Daytona Centennial 955i, which also had the 'floating' disc front brakes as fitted to yours. Brake calipers are also non-standard, as you've already guessed. Incidentally the rear wheel, as standard, is an 18" jobbie - I'm guessing that yours is of the 17" persuasion. Non of this detracts from what looks like a fine machine! Well, that's my humble opinion. The screen on my Trident is a Puig, which cost me less than £40 from somewhere in South Wales (can't remember where exactly - I blame my age!!), which is probably not too helpful for you, living as you do, in a land far far away. But at least you can look up Puig on the interweb to see what they have to offer. T'was easy to fit and of decent quality.
Having looked at the wheels fitted to your Trident they are the later 3 spoke wheels off another model, probably fitted so one of the previous owners had a better choice of tyres 17" at both ends. The originals would have been 6 spoke wheels like on steves Trident which are 17" front and 18" rear which also explains also why the edge isn't polished. Original fitment were either all silver or black with the polished edge http://www.worldoftriumph.com/trium...?block_01=&block_02=304394-1-2&block_03=70124 Steve beat me to it
Really terrific feedback...thanks very much. I'd love to know the ,motivation of the previous owner but I'm not unhappy with the result. Ill confirm sizing when I get back...thanks again
Final question...could these wheels and the exact to kick gold calipers have come off a specific triumph model...or just the wheels?
If I have it right the wheels were generic triumph T300 after 96 except the Trident, and the 6 pot calipers you have are from another make of bike as far as I understand it the Triumph originals were Nissin 6 pot off a Daytona 1200.
hi folks. it is a 17 inch rear with 190/50/17 tire. I suspect that the previous owner wanted to go with sportier rubber and higher spec brakes...all good from my perspective. i certainly didnt notice any issues when putting it on the centerstand...but have nothing to compare it . Does the group expect i ended up with a better handling bike with this setup..i hate to think I lost ground clearance but wonder how significant that would be. I would love to find the triumph accesory fly screen in the same green color...Ive seen it on other tridents....and a seat cowl which i have never seen. ill take any counsel on all of the above thanks Gregg
Gregg .... According to the Owner's Manual for my Trident - yes I've still got it! - the rear tyre fitment is 160/60 ZR16. The Trident Sprint (the model with the fairing fitted), and the Trophy 900/1200 should be 170/60 ZR17. Daytona 900/1200/Super3 and Speed Triple should be 180/55 ZR17. (The handbook covers all these models). However 190/50 ZR17 is probably the correct tyre for the rim size (width) that is fitted to your bike - it sounds familiar, the same as on the Daytona I had. (Just looked it up on google and it is the same tyre size, so it should be okay, assuming the wheel is from a later Daytona. Certainly looks like it is). Exactly where this leaves us is anybody's guess, but if it handles okay all should, hopefully, be well.
Hi folks. Does anyone have experience with the bellacorse bullet quarter fairing....its supposed to be a universal fit but ivwill check with the manufacture first. Also looking for a seat cowl for the trident....can find anything specific. Finally does triumph still offer a color matched fky screen for this trident color?

There doesn't appear to be a fly screen offered for the Trident, available parts can be found here :- http://www.worldoftriumph.com/triumph_motorcycle_parts_catalogue?model_id=70124 However one fitted to a later single headlamp model may fit.
hi again folks. I continue to work through some rich running conditions on my trident 900...but should have it resolved after replacing some worn 0 rings. I have two simple questions i hope. 1. I am going to purchase the belly pan that Sprint manufacturing offers and then paint it the BRG color to match my bike. the folks at sprint say that it is an easy installation...any feedback on this item? 2. i am going to purchase the solid color fly screen that fits the Bonneville...and also have it painted BRG. I am presuming that because it fits a 7inch headlight on the bonneville that it will fit my trident 900...am i accurate on that assumption? it looks like the mounting point would be on the headlight just like it is for the bonneville...thanks and please share your thoughts!
hi folks. Any feedback on the fly screen question...will the bonneville fly screen fit the trident 900? thanks gregg
