Hi Carl and welcome to the forum happy to see you won the auction and wish you well on purchase and first ride. To help me with some of the posts, is a 60 plate first reg 1960 and 15 a 2015? Cheers
Thanks for all the support and advice, regards a 60 plate it's beginning of September 2010 to end of February 2011. This links explains how to read a British number plate - http://www.theaa.com/car-buying/number-plates
Hi Carl. Good to know you got yourself a good deal. I don't know whereabouts you are in Devon or who your 'local dealership' is but, if you want a recommendation of a good independent Triumph specialist, try these people :- https://www.brumersbikes.co.uk/ They're in Wellington, Somerset. Paul Broom who owns the shop was at TOTAL TRIUMPH (Taunton) just up the road but left to set up his own shop. Worth giving him a call for a price on the service as his rates will be FAR less than the main dealer and he has done a lot of Triumph's training courses so knows the bikes. His operation seems to be gradually moving up market with the retail shop looking busier and a growing internet sales business. Let us know how you got on, please. Enjoy! Adie
HI Adie Thanks for the recommendation, I'm picking the bike up today and it's booked in for the service at Speed Superbikes on Marsh Barton for next Friday. I've used them a few times on previous bikes and after having a chat with their service guy they seem to know what's needed. Once I've got the bike in my hands I'll post some pics and I'll also post some feedback about how I got on with Speed Superbikes as well. Carl
Got her home and as far as I'm concerned, she's a thing of beauty! Even had a couple of traffic cops come up to me at the petrol station, thought I was in trouble at first but all they wanted to do was admire the bike. Happy, happy, happy days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Carl Williams No wonder it's a beautiful Machine. Bet you walk around with a great big grin on your face. Ride Safe & Enjoy Joe.
