Hi all, just bought a used Street Twin, a 2016 low mileage bike in Cranberry Red, I’m loving it so far, apart from the mirrors, and nowhere to store anything, I had a 2005 Bonneville T100 790 a while back, but found it too heavy and slow, my problem is my advancing age and short legs, but this ST seems very good so far. I may invest in a screen later, I’ve had a centre stand, rear rack and front mudguard extender fitted, now its time to enjoy the ride. I do have other bikes and scooters!, been riding since I was 16, used to do a lot of European touring with my wife, been to the TT many times, love bike racing, especially classic racing, also have a classic USA car as well.
Morning Tony and welcome, you gotta pop a couple of pictures up of your vehicles, sounds like an interesting garage you have there.
Hi n welcome, pictures of older bikes are always welcome as lots of us ride them as well, enjoy the new ST
Hi Tony, Glad to hear your enjoying the street twin as I'm also looking to buy a red used one. One thing I've noticed is there's no red on the wheels of some early bikes. I'm looking to import from UK to Ireland one bike I've looked at had red rim on back but plain rim on front, this I find confusing as I'm thinking is the bike 100% original. Any info would be appreiated. Stephen.
Welcome from sunny Calif. I have a 2018 Twin and the larger touring windscreen which I really like. I would not go for a fly screen as they do nothing.
Welcome to the forum! You have a million options for storage. I had a 2012 America and I made a 4" pvc pipe into a storage compartment that I mounted under the rack (see photo - small black tube behind bag). I kept my paperwork and a decent tool kit in there and it didn't look bad. I only put the bags on when I was hauling a bunch of stuff. Good luck getting it the way you want it.
This is a few of my collection, the RD 350 and the Vespa GTS300 and the NX 400 are for sale, don’t have any photos of the Street Twin yet I’m afraid.
Hoping to be in California late next year to catch the last 2 rounds of the NHRA championship, if all goes to plan, glad you like your ST, I am loving mine so far.
