Hi all, just traded in my BMW F800ST for a Triumph Bonneville America EFI, so happy. I can get both of my feet on the ground for the first time and no vibrations/pins and needles in my hands. One thing though, can't figure out the steering lock, it won't engage..broken perhaps!
With the bars turned fully left wiggle them gently as you turn the key to the left is the normal procedure, don't turn the key all the way as it will also put the parking lights on.
Hi James, Glad you see the light.....Not like others on here who still ride B*Ws She's a fine looking bike. Where in Ireland are you?
Ah yes, that's me. Had two Beemers, didn't like the way the paint fell off the engines :-( But seriously, they were just too tall and I was riding far too fast, don't feel the need on the Triumph, quite happy toodling along.
Yes i know it. The other side of Emo. I'm in Leighlinbridge Co Carlow. She is a fine bike. did you get her from Triumph Dublin ?
Just to let you know, Theres a bike show in Carlow this weekend on Sunday if your interested. Its next door to the Train Station. On all day If your down i will see you there.
Welcome and well done James. If you haven't figured out the pesky steering lock by July come along to our annual picnic and Jack Daniels tasting event in Wales and someone will help you get the knack.. https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/grand-meet-up-2018-wales.12452/
