Yesterday went to my Triumph dealership for a new set of tyres. I chose the Dunlop Mutant for various reasons, I read a lot of very positive reviews about them and -very important- I love the way they look. After 70 km in heavy rain, they seem a good choice, they feel good and reassuring. Of course, the first kilometers one rides smooth to adapt the tyres.. Remark: In 2021 I paid 350 euros for a new set of Roadsmart III, today I would have paid 427 euros for the same set, that's a raise of over 20%!! The two Mutants did cost me 467 by the way. I hope they will last as long as the Roadsmarts, that is about 12.000 km.
Tyres replacement. Do you have to take your m/c wheels off to get new tyres (you've bought on-line) put on by a garage? Also, looking at the manual I have to get tyres that are OK with innertubes as I have spoked wheels on my Tiger. I have swapped tyres in the past on the military bike I had but what a pig of a job. Any recommendations please of type. I presently have Metz. My riding will be mostly on the road but am looking to riding on campsites......at some point. Cheers
I always let my Triumph dealer or a local tyrecenter change my tyres. That way I'm always sure the work is done properly. And I don't have the right tools to do it at home... Every tyredealer knows if and what kind of tyres suit your wheels: tubeless or with innertubes. Mine are also with innertubes. Nasty rupture you have there!! Good luck with the new tyres!
