Was at the local dealers today and they had a T Bird with an 8 Ball special paint job that really looks the part on the bike ( although a bit of a Indian type scheme) Cheers Steve
The new Indian's look a bit too traditional for my liking, I'm sure that they will sell well in North America bit think they are a bit OTT for Europe. I would also suggest that the T Bird might be a lot better handling bike than the Indian  But that Indian engine does look nice
Steve Polaris has put a lot of money into this Indian venture - prices are competitive (read expensive) with similar Harleys but the following for H-D and the massive marketing of the brand will make it difficult for Indian to make any kind of serious dent in their sales. The emotional, let's say slave-like devotion to Milwaukee machines by the North American cruiser crowd is one of the reasons I went with the Triumph T-Bird. Being different is not always a bad thing and that philosophy will sell some Indians just as it sells some Triumphs here in Canada.
Yes it will, Harley are having to really lift their game at the moment as they seem to be being attacked on all fronts with the new Indians, Victory's and to an extent Triumph, Yamaha also have brought this new XV 950R out and it is about the only decent looking Jap bike at the moment as the V Max is still way overpriced and pointless as ever Cheers Steve
Hey Steve... funny you should mention the Yamaha XV 950 R... my son rides this bike (so do I, when he lends it to me)....far better bike than the entry level HD Sportster 883.... really easy and fun to drive, very quick; it's got a super sound and it handles very well. The down side is that the gearbox ratios are aimed more at the run-a-bout speed range and the engine tends to work a little harder at higher cruising speeds (110-120 Km/h). That said, it's a small problem and this is a great bike and one that the younger gens really go for as the price point and the look really appeals to them
