    Greetings from Central Iowa, USA!

Purchased a (new to me) 2012 Bonneville last Friday with only 1800 miles & $1,500 in mods and extras! One thing that I NEED (given that I bought the bike to commute an hour each way on) is a storage bag that will fit on the tail rack... it's the rack that sits behind the passenger and has and integrated grab bar and tiedown slots. Rack shelf is not very big, somewhat square-ish and tubular chrome. For those of you that have this rack or similar, what do you use for storage that would hold a half helmet for passenger, change of clothes, a book or two, snacks, etc.?

I'll post pics of my new ride, when I have time. Too busy riding it!

    Thanks,
    T

Here's a few pics showing the rack and most of the upgrades the previous owner did.

Welcome to the forum! Nice bike. I had a 2012 America with a similar rack (photo below). I used the Viking tail bag which worked out pretty well for me, and I left it on most of the time. I had the back rest to tie it to, but your grab rail will probably work. I used their saddle bags when I needed a bunch of storage. I just threw them over the pillion seat and tied them off. I also added a 4" pvc pipe below the rack (zip tied it) to stash a tool kit since there wasn't any tool storage on the bike. Viking has a wide range of bags and I thought their quality was pretty good. You can see them at: https://www.vikingbags.com/

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I bought a 2012 Bonneville with 1800 miles on it and it had the same rack fitted.
I've since removed it but just used to stick a small tank bag on it.

Check out Bad and G custom bags. I bought one of his solo side bags for my T120, and I love it.
My only recommendation is to pay the extra $6 for the quick release buckles; I didn't, and now I wish I had.

Hi, there are several options for a tail bag or box. My shop is about 25 miles from Pella, stop at Cycle Tech, Fremont Iowa and we'll help you find something that suits your needs. I have a 2013 T100 with the same rack.

You need to go buy one from him, he's been a member since last September and has been waiting all this time for someone near him to look for something, before posting for the first time !!!!!:p

Your really lucky to see the post, or your trawling this forum waiting ????:D
