Hi folks, Just a quick post to say hello and introduce myself. I've been motorcycling for more than than 40 years and had everything from sport bikes to adventure bikes and big tourers. As I'm getting on a bit and fancied a more relaxed style of motorcycling I currently have a America LT which I have shipped over to Spain (balearics islands) for relaxed cruising. The pace of life here is ideal for cruising around in shorts and T shirts but something I wouldn't recommend in the uk. Double standards maybe but you just have to go with the flow. Still have a bike in the uk (not a triumph) but keeps me on two wheels. Best bike I used to own was a Triumph Bonneville t120v 650 which I wished I never sold. I still have the original Triumph folder workshop manual, must get round to selling it sometime. Look forward to all the info on the site, Cheers, Ron
I would never wear anything less than full gear in the uk. I know it sounds a bit hypocritical but some days it's too hot for all the gear and I do have vented kit.
Bike was a T120v. If memory serves correctly it had a 650 top end with 750 bottom end. I think it was when they were changing the models over. I believe the manual is in the garage somewhere. I'm away at the moment but will have a rummage when I get back and if I can find it I will post a few pics and maybe someone can give me an indication of what it's worth. Cheers, Ron.
De-cat, y piece, full Ohlins, power commander, Abs removed and beringer calipers with wave discs, ilmberger carbon, Sebring can, led indicators and rear lights plus loads more.
Welcome Ron. Envy you the sun, but then again we've booked this year's sunny weekend in Wales (July) for the inmates' annual picnic, tan top up, and Jack Daniels tasting event. Check it out - we accept a limited quantity of non-Triumph bikes (spaces still available) - blimey even B*Ws. https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/grand-meet-up-2018-wales.12452/.
