I sell Shoei (amongst others) and you get what you pay for. Each is handmade (you'll find the mark of four different employees in each helmet) with important design features and added safety features you won't find in cheaper lids. I use a Hornet ADV almost every day in all weathers for work and pleasure rides, though I must admit the pinlock on my HJC RPHA 11 seems to do the job a bit better than the one in my Shoei.
Cheers for that help, it looks simple enough so I'll give it a try although I don't suffer from wind, it's good to know. I don't think there will be enough adjustment to reduce the gap on first click of the visor but you never know. Thanks
^^^ it's a good lid. No buffeting. I find the lid quiet as I wear ear plugs. It's very comfortable. Only issue I encountered is fogging even with the pinlock insert but after a little adjustment it's all sorted now. I'm happy with the lid
