New ECM issue

  1. Thanks for the info, looks like empty is the way forward.

    The tank at the moment got it mounted on the upper (larger) set of holes on the frame fixings (with washers to suit). that has been applying some gentle persuasion and I might try today and see if the normal mounts are doable now. Thanks.

    Isn't it easier and safer to store your fuel in a proper petrol container. i.e. One of the green plastic ones with the spout.
    Save swapping it around between bikes ?

    Yes got all cans I need, but I store the metal tanks full. So there is plenty if I need it.
    Is it easier? not really about the same.
    is it safer? The tank is a metal tin so about the same.

    Just out of curiousity t552, why do you store so much fuel at home ?

    Because metal tanks are best stored with full tanks.
    I have 2 other bikes with metal tanks. A trident 900 and a Kawasaki GT550.
    so all told about 42ltr max.
