What do we think of this? http://www.triumphmotorcycles.co.uk/motorcycles/classics/bonneville-bobber/2017/bonneville-bobber#
The standard T120 IMO is a thing of beauty, this bobber (WTF does bobber mean anyway?) thing does nothing for me but hey-ho Triumph are in the business of making money and at least it's got a decent engine. Harley have been getting away with this kind of thing for long enough so why not get in on the act?
Bobber refers to the fact that a true "Bobber" has no rear suspension at all - just the springs in the solo seat - which I assume makes the rider bob up and down. Warning: This may be total b*ll*cks!
Ade all Harley softails have their rear suspension hidden so they look like the hardtails of old, maybe your'e getting mixed up with the Dyna and Sportster ranges?
ok Ade i misread your post i thought you meant the triumph has hidden the rear unlike Harley..i see what you mean now
I can't quite decide. They look great until you see one with someone sat on it. They just look a bit, well, silly! There seems to be too big a hole between the back of the seat and the mudguard.
I can see some converted Hxxxxxx riders buying and joining this Forum. Oh, surely they will have to pass some kind of interview ??????
Trying to sell it to the trendy lifestyle wankers. Luckily enough I don't live anywhere near Shoreditch or any of these tossy urban metrosexual bunch of fuckwits, where style matters above substance. Still think it's a great looking bike, and watching MCN first ride, that new motor looks to have plenty of grunt. Looking forward to seeing one in the flesh at the bike show or dealer and I might be tempted by one , once someone else takes the hit of depreciation.
