I’m easily flattered, so when asked I couldn’t say no. There are a number of more interesting bikes than my ’97 Thunderbird, so I won’t win any prize. I do get a lot of questions from people wanting to own a Triumph though, so that’s nice. One bike that particularly caught my interest was the 1987 Norton Classic, the rotary engined bike. Only 100 built. Another one is the 1973 Triumph X-75 Hurricane. And the 1957 Thunderbird. All in all around, oh, 50 great bikes among all the cars.
No mention of the Laverda's and MV Augusta in the background ?!?!? I had a Silver RGS 1000 same as the one just above the Right Hand Handle bar end of the Thunderbird in the foreground ! Was a Brute of a Machine I did 300+ klms hr on mine in the mid 80's !
Oh, terribly sorry - I just tried to keep things Triumph(/British)! I managed to get you a photo of one of the Laverdas as the show was closing down, the Augusta was already gone. Agreed, they are great bikes. Here you go; 1000 ccm originally, increased to 1200:
