I love the biking camaraderie over there biglad. Riding on the right seems so natural on a bike. Easy to give a nice long v salute passing others bikers with your left arm free looking at each other.

I've got the answer to this problem o_O... from now on all bikers in the UK upon seeing an approaching motorcycle must quickly switch to the righthand side of the road and give the left hand victory salute (as in France) and whilst remaining in a cool dude pose ....get the feck back to the correct side of the carriageway before being wiped out by a myopic nugget in a cage :cold_sweat:,
Yes I can see this catching on....don't all thank me at once

Just keep using the mirror to practice your nodding, keep your eyes fixed on your eyes until you can nod without losing forward vision... you won’t suffer panic induced steering corrections then!!! Or continue to wave... both acceptable!!!

I'm definitely a Forrest Gump stye waver.....oh the joy when I see another bike ,I just can't hold in my excitement..:p
The problem I have with nodding is that I tend to over exaggerate the nod because I think they might not see a gentle bop to the right,And heaven forbid someone thought I didn't nod back:scream:

Perhaps this may be clearer and avoid confusion?

I nod if I can but don’t if needing to focus on the traffic or road conditions... I always think a non nodding biker is busy doing the same so never think them rude... mind you a whole pack of bikes coming the other way needs a wave rather than overdrive nodding!! ...glad bikers don’t flash lights as that can be very misleading to traffic

Nod, wave, nothing back. Their problem , don't care either way. You get angry, wow. Life's too short. Someone needs anger management therapy.
