Y,see giving me a link from the other post still ended in posting on here for my answer!!
I had a Mazda 323 4wd turbo 1988 which had been stood 12 years and after getting it going I thought I bust the clutch cable till I found it was hydraulic!! The piston on the master went right over a load of hard lying sediment at the bottom. How it went over I really don't know but I stripped and clean it out so it was back to a round bore and the old seal still worked like it was new and it pumped up like nothing had even happened.

A few years back I obtained a large sringe ( no it wasn't for a medical condition ) and some silicon hose to fit over the bleed nipple. I fill the system from the bottom up and this normally avoids the trapped air in the master cylinder. But if you do fill it normally and you get this problem , unbolt the master cylinder and tilt it away from its normal angle. HTH Cheers Doug.

Get an old trigger oil can, attach a hose, and pump fluid uphill. Take the top of the reservoir off, and hold a rag over it, to stop splashing fluid all over your paintwork Works far better than any other method. Including suction pumps.
