Hi everyone like the title suggests I’ve lost my key for my bike it’s in the same house some where but I can not find it went missing after a little cleaner eh other day so defo here somewhere I have a question if anyone can help as triumph are closed near me it’s a 2009 speedy and I dont think it has an alarm or immobiliser on it so I was wondering if it’s as simple as buy blank key and get it cut or does it need coding any advice would be greatly appreciated ... hopefully it will turn up
I’d have thought a 2009 bike would have an immobiliser on, so the key will likely have a transponder in it.
hiya thank you that’s crazy I’ve just looked though my paperwork and I’ve noticed I’ve got a little key blade with tag on it with code so master key I guess .... thing is there is no fob on it so just started her up with only that so I guess confirms no alarm nor immobiliser (worryingly) but on up side I guess must be cheap key replacement
Thank you cheap fix I guess lol 100% cos I took it out and cleaned it and done chain etc and then packet it away put stealing lock on etc so defo in the house without a dought lol will turn up in really obvious place as well even thou I took place apart lol
yeah I feel like I’ve taken this place apart looking which is why it’s gonna turn up right after I sort a replacement lol
I guarantee it is in the saddle lock on the side 100% of the time I lose mine and I find it in the lock to release the seat
Sometimes I keep lost keys in jacket pockets, and as the day heats up I forget I even had a jacket on.
I really should read threads more carefully. I thought you said you lost your keys in a jacket potato. Alfie
agreed I raptor coated my rear pegs on my bike the other day they look really good in my opinion but not sure if anyone else’s has done it lmao
I lost my primary key winter of 2018. Tire hell and all up looking for it. Thank goodness I had my factory spare but was always nervous about losing it. This winter went to put on my cold weather riding pants and the lost key was in the damn front pocket!
