Hi guys, now back from holiday have decided to take the punt and buy a cbr. So far have found 2 both links below.
The orange one has original exhaust and is only 2 owners...going to see this tomorrow after work.

The blue/green doesn't have any of the original parts but sounded good over a video call...and it's the colours I want but 2 hours away...

Let me know your thoughts, always appreciated

personally i would go for the one on auto trader the colours are better but that's only my opinion, both look relatively near standard without much of the bling crap some folk ruin their bikes with, keep us updated on what you think if you view them both.

Hi DD, sorry for the late relly been busy at work.

No I haven't...yet! still on the look but life takes over so haven't had the time.

Due to ins costs either an early blade or a 600. Haven't done many miles on the speed either!

I've had an RRV which had been painted in RRW purple colours and an RRW in the shell suit Turquoise and Orange colour. I preferred the foxeye blade (RRV and before) and the RRW and RRX blades are so adept at everything they do but they do lack a little soul, but you look down and find yourself doing 140mph! My 4XV and 5JJ R1's both felt raw and like you were trying to kill yourself :D
Carb balance can make it sound awful and is not a huge fix, tyre choice is limited with anything before 2001 as they had the 16 inch wheel fitted with the 130 profile front tyre which people swap out for the VFR wheel but I love the feel of it and the handling but I don't care if your name is Rossi, you won't get that front tyre off the edge :D
When I got my RRV I rode it and knocked the guy down to £1800 as the suspension felt knackered but once I'd fitted a pair of boots it transformed the handling and feel. Turns out it was just the tyres were shot!
Check frame numbers match the log book and check they look legit as there will be a few ringers or written off bikes in the mix these days as they always sell well.
Just take a look at the one below and it has 72k on it, they really do go forever they are so over engineered. My mate has over 70k on his 98 RRV.

Oh yeah, and if you find an Urban Tiger for less than £3k snap it up as they're fetching silly sums for some reason!

You won't find better than this for the money! Not sure what the score is on the fuel tap though. Sound like BS to me. I had my old ZX6R rebuilt but when the shop put the tank back on they had twisted the fuel line flat so it would only pull fuel through on reserve! Probably just needs plugs, maybe just the plugs breaking down? Easy fix?

    Thank everyone..

    First one so quite excited!

Tbh with new job and all have hardly been on the current one.

Dilli thats all I've heard since getting married but the wife agrees with me that everyone should have their own hobbys so hopefully
    Will be keeping this one.

Yeah spark plugs can break down under power. Some people don’t maintain their vehicles that’s a fact of life. Could be an easy fix.
That turquoise one looks worth a shot if you can chip him £200

    Evening guys,

Went and had a look at the one closer to me with 45k miles agreed on 1500 and shes now in my garage in bits!

Front fairings off and mud guard..next week the rear and give it a bloody good clean.

The rear seemed a bit bouncy on the way home..any cheap fixes? Thanks 20181125_131012.jpg

Tyre pressure was at 20psi when i got back so pumped them up, just bouncy over bumps, seems to bouce a few times before settling down.

Ive got it all stripped down but still ridable so may try tomorrow depending on weather.

    Thanks for the advice
