As a biking newbie I went to the London MCN show today. Underwhelmed, is the feeling I left with, nothing inspired or surprised me (disclaimer I'm not a bike nerd), loads of stalls selling bits, but nothing to widen your eye's, Was told it would be full of Biker Babes when in fact it was full of people just like me, Fat, Grey and 50. On the Triumph stand the Bonne / Street Twin area looked more like a scene from Last of The Summer Wine, clearly I fitted in well. To be fair the Triumph stand was the best by a mile, maybe I'm biased I live in London, would I travel further to attend, nah. On the plus side I grabbed a Shoei RYD for £240 vs £349 so maybe it was worth a days leave and £18 entry fee They call me Mr Cynical
I went today, mostly just for a day out but also to have a look at the new Speed Triple RS To be honest, I didn't see enough in it to make me want to swap my 2016 R any time soon, although the TFT dash was nice
Sounds like all my stunt doubles where their Fat grey. And 50 must of got out of the madhouse when I was asleep. Tucker
I can understand that. However, I've ordered a RS as it's quite a large step up from my 2011. Didn't think the 2016 model was a large enough upgrade
Yea, but a nice low mileage pre-loved one.....But now I've been seduced into spending more money. Thanks Triumph!
I don't think 6 miles can really count as pre-loved, more like a quick knee trembler behind the bike sheds.

Well, somebody has taken it home for a longer term relationship as it's no longer on 3X's website. Question - if 6 miles is a knee trembler behind the bike sheds, should we consider some of your under 1000 mile trade ins a weekend fling?
I went to the London show a few years back and vowed not to bother again, not a patch on the NEC by a country mile
Bikes only have two relationships... 1.The brief encounter, 2. The love of their life. Thatll be you then.
