Hi, my name is Ben and I'm driving a Triumph Thruxton EFI 900 from 2010. I recently encounter a strange problem: while driving, the lights stop working (front light, turn signals and rear/brake lights - not great ) and a weird clicking noise is appearing. Then I turn off my bike and after 2-3 hours all the lights are working again. Sometimes, it also helps, if I just wait for a few seconds. I've made a quick video about the problem: https://photos.app.goo.gl/paoLRusDQW19AoLo6 Does anybody know what may cause the issue and how I could resolve it?. Many thanks, Ben
Wow - you win the prize for weirded lights problem! I would have guessed a faulty relay but that video was very odd. You do get a motor sounding hum when the ignition it turned on as the fuel pump kicks in etc. That sounds different. Can you take the seat cover off and see if you can localise it to a component?
My guess from Australia the Secondary Air Injection system ? This runs Off the same power source as your lighting??
Have you tried to "localise" it? eg, unplug the rear lights, then indicators etc? Definitely a weird one sir.
