It's that time of year again! Train to Leicester, arrive 1202hrs, meet up with 5 blokes, quick plate of sausage and mash then rubber bands fitted and off for copious quantities of Everards and whatever else takes the fancy. Do this every run in to Christmas, totally wrecks tomorrow, but so what? I never, ever attend works gatherings, as I see it I'm forced to work with people but have a free choice who to go out and get hammered with. The wheel barrow is ready with tyre pumped up hard and axle oiled, for my arrival back at Burton railway station tonight. Cheers to all
Bloody fantastic day, got wrecked, nursing a very thick head, barrow back in shed, looking forwards to next year!
There are some gems here for sure, a great Friday night is to e had at The Tower Brewery off Wharf Road, all brewed on the premises and very reasonably priced as well. The building is superb as a bonus.
My wife is from Burton so we're quite often up there, will give it a look. Really liked the Burton Bridge Inn and The Weighbridge Inn. and The Manzil!!
All good, Tower Brewery only open to all comers on Friday nights though. I would link to their website but have no idea how to do it!
